Cats and Fitness

June 9th, 2009

My cats are usually lazy, but for some reason every time I do yoga they won’t leave me alone. Maybe I should include them in my exercise routine. I wonder if Stella wouldn’t mind being my medicine ball.

Furry pals can be partners in fitness

(CNN) – Under the California sun in a place known as Muscle Beach, where bronzed bodybuilders pump their cannon-size biceps, an energetic brunette works her arms — and the weight purrs its approval… Continue Reading…

This whole cat workout thing is pretty intriguing- and weird. Check out Cat Workout’s website. You’ll either laugh out loud or start working on your kitty’s flabby biceps. Either way, it’s amusing.

Michael Cera and Cats

April 28th, 2009

I don’t know how many of you are into Michael Cera (the gawky teenager who stars in Arrested Development, Superbad, and Juno), but this video is hilarious. I was checking out Twitter (like I do every morning), and bumped into an I Can Has Cheezburger? post. Apparently, this photoshopped picture made blogger Scott Porad (CTO of the company behind I Can Has Cheezburger? and Failblog.org) go into serious thinking mode. In the end, Michael Cera came to mind and this Adult Swim awkward video popped up. So, if you’re wondering what Michael Cera has to do with cats, read Porad’s blog and watch the video. If you’re not into awkwardness, then… [insert witty comment here]

Interesting Video: How to talk to your cat

April 19th, 2009

So… I never posted THAT video of my cat cuddling with me when I had bronchitis and a sinus infection (bleh), BUT to make up for my unforgivable irresponsibility, I’m posting something else.

I keep receiving e-mails and messages from friends with great ideas for posts. Wilfredo, my boyfriend, sent me this silly YouTube video. Not only does it give interesting tips, but owners like you and I get a chance to see how stupid we look when we interact with our feline companions.

Note: I don’t think I’d do the whole “grab your cat by the collar and growl in his/her face” trick. If your pet pees on the carpet, it’s probably because you need to clean the litter box or because of health issues. Either way, aggression will only confuse the kitteh (the *h is intentional).

Cat Fashion

February 21st, 2009

Cat fashion has never (literally) been so hip. Don’t fret. I’m not referring to the red sweater on the left. If you like cats but can’t find fashionable kitty shirts, I hope this entry helps out. There comes a time in every cat owner’s life when the necessity of a cool clothing item to express uncontrollable feline obsessions becomes an impossible quest (or maybe that’s just me). Because I’m obliged to represent the growing, feline-loving population, I checked out some websites and found some pretty awesome prints. If you’re not owned by a cat, I hope the excessive kitty coolness (and cuteness) will help you change your mind (or I’ll brainwash you). Continue reading »

Stripes Optical Illusion

October 7th, 2008

Once in a while you’ll come across a very cool trick on the Internet. Stripes is one of those. As I was browsing Stumble Upon for other cat websites early in the morning, I bumped into this amazing optical illusion. When you drag the black lines (or bar) over the illustration, the cat starts running. The entertaining eye candy is part of Gallop!, a children’s book by Rufus Butler Seder. What a great way to start the day!

If you still haven’t seen it, click on Stripes.
